The monthly Prayer Meeting at CAC for 2010 will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 11:15am to 12:00pm in the small meeting room at the top of the stairs. Our first meeting for the year will be held this Sunday 28 February. This is a great opportunity to come before the Lord in prayer for our church and its' members. Please join us if you can. |

This is an invitation to all the gents of CAC to come along to our next CAC fishing day. It is being held on Saturday 27 March. We are meeting at Brooklyn at 7:00am and will be back on shore by around midday. The cost is $30 per person, which includes a low‑fat [hehehe] BBQ breakfast on board our luxury fishing barge. It would be great to invite your Christian and/or non‑Christian friends along to join us on the day. Please see Ralph Lawson‑Smith or Geoff Hall to reserve a spot. |

As with CAC, prayer is a priority with CMS who, with our help, fully support the Cuschieri family in Malta. Jess Harris, while paid by All Saints Church Jakarta, is also prayed for through the CMS network. CMS invites link churches like our own to focus on prayer between 6 and 14 March for the nearly 200 missionaries who serve in around 35 countries around the world. As well as special prayers as part of church on both those Sundays we plan a special gathering for payer for our own missionary links and the wider circle of CMS missionaries. It will be held at the Hohne home, 46 Robert Road, Cherrybrook on Wednesday 10 March at 7:45 to 9:00pm. Please join us. Alan Hohne, CAC Mission Coordinator |

February and March 2010 God’s grace pursues us, Gen 25-35 Most evangelical Christians believe that God is sovereign in his plan of salvation but believe that our human decisions and actions play some role in our personal salvation. God’s word however teaches that his electing grace “does not depend on man’s desire and effort but on God’s mercy” (Rom 9:16). Jesus told his disciples “You did not choose me, but I chose you ...” (John 15:16). The primary theme of the entire Old Testament is that God chose Israel, they did not choose him. Understanding this is essential to getting along with a sovereign God. It took Jacob a lifetime to learn this. One hopes it won’t take us that long. |
